Terms, Agreements & Privacy

Booking and Payment: A deposit of 50% of the total service fee is required to secure your booking date, with the remaining balance due five (5) business days prior to the event. For bookings made within five (5) business days of the event, full payment is required at the time of booking. We accept cash, check [25% fee applies for all returned checks], Venmo, Apple Pay, Zelle and PayPal.

Fees: A sales tax of 10.6% and a transaction fee of 4% will be added to the total service fee.

Service Agreement: By submitting payment, you enter into a Service Agreement with Chef Brittany Flint for catering/private chef services. This agreement is effective upon receipt of payment and concludes upon completion of the services on the event date.

Final Payment: If the final payment is not received five (5) business days prior to the event, the booking will be canceled, and the deposit will be forfeited. A late payment fee of 10% may be applied at the discretion of Chef Brittany Flint.

Cancellation: In the event of a cancellation, regardless of the notice provided, the initial deposit is non-refundable. This deposit covers the time and resources invested in menu planning, ingredient procurement, and securing your event date.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be requested at least five (5) business days prior to the originally scheduled event. Rescheduling may incur additional fees to cover any costs associated with changes to the event. Cancellations following a reschedule will also result in the loss of the deposit.

Guest Count Adjustments: Any adjustments to the guest count (within a 5-10% range) must be communicated five (5) business days prior to the event. Otherwise, the original guest count and invoice will remain in effect.

Service Details: Services include, but are not limited to menu planning, grocery shopping, on-site cooking, serving, cleanup, etc.

Food Safety: Chef Brittany Flint is ServSafe certified and adheres to Virginia Food Safety practices. However, potential cross-contamination from suppliers and the inherent risks of food preparation exist. Reheating instructions will be provided where applicable. Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness.

Liability: While every precaution is taken to ensure food safety, Chef Brittany Flint and affiliated entities (including ChefBVentures LLC and family members) are not liable for allergic reactions or foodborne illnesses resulting from the consumption of prepared food. You assume full responsibility for any potential risks. Chef Brittany Flint maintains appropriate liability insurance coverage.

Agreement: By submitting payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service. These terms supersede any prior oral or written agreements.
